A visit to Grandpa 09/14/2007

After Mommy Winnie and Tita Bebe arrived from Cebu, we planned on going to San Francisco. This trip was going to accomplish three things, 1) we get to take Tita Bebe to her brotherin San Jose, 2) Joy and I take take a short vacation and take mommy Winnie to see San Francisco, and 3) most importantly, baby Paige can finally meet her Grandparents, Uncle Phil and Auntie Susie Canalita.

Going there we took the scenic route, we drove along the 101 freeway. We stopped by Santa Barbara for lunch, then stopped at Solvang to rest, and finally drove non-stop all the way to Union City where Uncle Phil and Auntie Susie lives. We left our house at 11:30pm and arrived in Union City at 8:00pm - whew! it was a long and tiring drive.

Auntie Susie prepared dinner for us. We arrived there hungry! We ate and chatted for awhile, we then took off for the motel where we were staying. For breakfast, we went again to Uncle Phil's house - again, Auntie Susie prepared her delicious Filipino-style breakfast - bacon & eggs! Ang Sarap! After breakfast, we proceeded to head on for downtown San Francisco.

The whole weekend we spent in San Francisco. We visited Chinatown, the Golden Gate bridge, Lombard, Pier 39, and downtown San Francisco. We also went to Napa Valley and Vallejo. We rode the cable cars and ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp! We can never go to San Francisco without eating at Bubba Gump! On Monday, we visited Uncle Phil before proceeding to San Jose to drop off Tita Bebe at her brothers house.

We arrived at 8pm in Union City where Auntie Susies delicious dinner was witing for us. Mommy Winnie got to meet my Uncle Phil and Auntie Susie, and baby Paige finally met her grandparents.
