Cebu City
We stayed in Cebu most of the time during this trip. It was fun going back to the place of where Joy and I grew up. I left Cebu when I was 16 years old when my family migrated to the United States. The last time I was in Cebu was about 8 or 9 years ago. As for Joy, it was about 5 years when she last left Cebu.
Many things have changed since then. I could barely remember the roads, let alone knowing which "jeepney" to take to go to various places in Cebu City. There were many, many new buildings and places to eat. During the day (when the sun is out), I mostly stay at the house (in Paknaan). I found it too hot to trot around town. I stay with my brother-in-law at his house and watch them take care of the figthing cocks that he breeds. Joy usually goes out with Mom, either to do grocery or just shop. Usually they are out the whole day.
At night however is the time my brother-in-law and our "body guards" go out. We would go to Larsian around 2am to eat, or go to K1 Karaoke until they close. Red Horse beer has been the favored beer for us.
