The Kids Area

This is the only place in the house that gets used the most.  When my kids have guests, they always just stay in the loft all day.  Whether it is to just play video games, counterstrike, or just to watch a video.  Since the loft is not a very big area, Joy and I are wondering whether a 46" plasma might just suite this part of the house fine --- the kids don't object to that proposition.  But as of now, the Plasma will just have to wait.

This 27" Philips tv have component inputs.  The Akai DVD is connected via component, while the XBox and PS2 are connected via S-Video.  On the right side, you will see my old Infinity bookshelf and my old Infinity center channel.

They all still sound good for movies, or video games.

I've always been a video game fan, although lately I've been too busy at work and haven't played much video games.  I've heard Gran Turismo 4 is coming out for PS2 --- i might buy that one (if the include the BMW Z4 in their lineup.)

Other games that i enjoy playing is Resident Evil.

An aging Pioneer VSX-D606s powers the whole system.  This receiver is Pioneer's very FIRST receiver to have Dolby Digital built in.  Still sounds pretty good.  The massive KLH subwoofer thumps and thunders on video games and movies.

My eldest daugther Michelle is an avid DDR fan.  Two dance pads gets stepped on, danced on, all day long.  With Michelle and her friends at it all day long, this is the only music you can hear all around the house.

Michelle tries to convince me to try hopping and skipping to their beat, according to her, "this is a good exercise for you Dad.", Ya, sure Michelle, maybe next time.

Facing the tv and the video games is an old couch that Joy and I wants to replace.  Maybe after this couch is replaced, the plasma screen can follow :-)

We also have a treadmill that we use "occasionally" which also faces the tv, just in case we want to watch the news while exercising --- to date, never happened though.
