A good friend of mine is really into Classic VW and car restoration.  Here are pictures he sent me when he restored an old buggy.

Article by: Fred Tiongson

this car was a 1976 brasilia 4 door 1600 sedan (really in bad shape),
my tito eddie gave this to my mom. so what i did was a brought a mechanic
to tito ed's house to let the engine run and drive it home to lapu-lapu city.
i tried to restore the brasilia but the welder took his pay and left...

malas jud..

then i decided to stop spending on the car and wait til someone
would offer me a good price, ni abot nalang ug 9 years wala man gihapon,
so i thought of converting it to a kit car, a dune buggy came to my mind coz
in our elementary days ambition jud nako maka drive and own a dune buggy.
it took me 8 months to get the buggy running, bati pa kaau wai paint no windshield,
no roof and engine leaks... grabe, pero lingaw gihapon kog
suroy-suroy ato.

to cut the long story short i saw Clyde Kriekenbeek nag pa car wash
and he invite me to join the VW Club of Cebu. nice man kaau ang mga vw sa mga
members ma uwaw man ko drive sa buggy that's why hinay-hinayan nako ug gasto.
di unta nako ni i apil sa show but Arnold Opone my mechanic insisted that my buggy
should join, ok lang kung ma pildi basta lang ma display lang ang buggy, so i did.
swerte pud naka daug champion vw sport category.
