Mercedes SLK 280

On Thanksgiving day, my best friend (since time began) Vince came to the house and brought me food. I was grateful since I was the only one home, and cooking was the last thing i wanted to do that day. We drank and talked. Since Vince had a such a good luck at work, he wanted to buy a car. We drove to Valencia BMW, sad to say, they were close Thanksgiving day. So tomorrow was going to be the day were going to buy a car.

The following day, Vince came over in the afternoon. We drove to Valencia BMW. He test drove the Z4 (2006) 3.0 roadster. After the drive, he wanted to test drive the Mercedes and the Porsche Boxter.

We went to Keyes European to check out the Mercedes SLK. Vince test drove the SLK 280 and fell in love with it. Needless to say, we were not able to test drive the Porsche Boxster anymore.

Bear in mind that when we went to the car dealership we were just wearing T-shirts, short pants, and have not taken a shower for that day yet. Vince was sooooo unprepared to buy the car that he DID NOT bring his credit cards or even a checkbook. Frankly, i was wondering how he was going to put money down for the car. hmmmm....

When the deal went through, Vince called Rowena and got his credit card number, and paid the downpayment for the SLK280!

Where else can you go to a dealership, no shower, wearing t-shirts, short pants, slippers, no credit cards, no checkbook, and then drive home in a brand spanking-new Mercedes SLK280 with the top-down? Only in America!

Below is a picture of Vince's new SLK and my Z4. Both are Roadsters by class. Seats only two people and is a natural hair-dryer. As for the top speeds for these vehicles? hmmmm... i dunno, i only drive 70mph. :-)
