Pacquiao vs. De La Hoya

6-December-2008

My friend Lowie wanted to host a Pacquiao fight. I told him sure, I'll be glad to help.  The Friday before the fight, I went to his house to help him set up the projector and  the screen. We calibrated it and tried different light settings. We also used my custom  projector stand which has an extra fan that helps keep the projector cool when used for  extended period of time. The screen we used was a 96" screen. We had to look for the best  spot to hang the screen, because Lowie was expecting a lot of people to be coming.

We decided to hang it by his formal living room, up on the stairs by the loft. It was perfect  because it was out of everybodys way. Lowie ran the cable lines from the upstairs bedroom, and  we hooked up the sound and fired up the projector. The image was crip and clean, with the lights  turned down, the images greatly improves. We were satisfied with the setup and was positive each one will have a clear view of the fight.

there was...

...a lot of people!

There was a lot of people. The whole tennis club was there along with their families. Lowie had  prepared two goats for the event and have catered alot of food. There was enough food for  everybody, and most of the guests brought drinks to share with everyone. The grill was fired  up all night and there was a constant flow of hot bbq all the time. Because Winter nights in Santa  Clarita are cold, most of the guests watched the fight inside the house. The other people stayed  outside and watched through the window. Good thing the neighbors did not call fire department. :-)

Thank You Lowie!

Maybe next time we'll host it at my place.

We had a great time!

Everybody had a great time. There was karaoke after the fight and live band was playing in the garage.  When we left, Mitchie had sent us a lot of food. It was a successful event. Good thing the projector did not conk out.
